How to Configure Your Audio Settings for Online Music Lessons

To configure your Zoom audio settings for an online music lesson, follow these instructions adapted from Zoom’s website:

1. Start or join a meeting. I recommend using the app instead of the browser version.

2. Connect to meeting audio with the Computer Audio option.

3. On the bottom left of your screen, next to the Audio icon that looks like a microphone, click the up arrow.

4. Open Audio Settings.

   • Under Microphone modes, select:

     • Original sound for musicians

5. Close the Settings window to return to the meeting.

   Note: In the top-right corner of the meeting window, the current status of the selected feature is indicated (e.g. “Original Sound for Musicians: On.”)
